Poppy Line
Poppy's help line has arranged a half-term treat, the Altogether Now! Weekend-the chance for children to  help man the railway on this day and Sunday. They'll be able to work with volunteers to wave the guard's flag, check the signals and keep the stations up to scratch. Family tickets(£35) include a £5 voucher to spend on refreshments or in the Sheringham Station giftshop.

Norwich Castle Museum is joining the national campaign The Big Draw with a series of events- Great British Drawing-on Saturday(10.30-3.30pm)and Thursday(1.30-3.30pm). Be inspired by collections and take part in some fun drawing events.

Feed the Birds Days are running this weekend at RSPB Titchwell Marsh, near Hunstanton, from 10-3pm. It's a hands-on activity-get your hands dirty making fat balls and the like that you can take home to feed your garden birds. Saturday and Sunday. Free event.

The Royal Norfolk Regimental Museum in the Shirehall near Norwich Castle, has a series of drop-in-half-term events to mark a key battle in the struggle against Napoleon in Spain and Portugal.

Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library, The Forum: Card trading, including Crazy Bones, Match Attax, Yu gi oh!, Dr.Who, Pockemon. ground floor,2.30-3.30pm.

Stranger's Hall. The Big Draw-A Ruff Image of Yourself! will give you the chance to make a Tudor ruff and take part in  drawing activities inspired by the portraits.The drop-in activity runs 11am-12.30pm and 2-4pm on Saturday and from Wednesday to Saturday October 31.

Dino Haunts running at 6pm.until Saturday Oct.31 at the Dinosaur Adventure Park. Dress up warm and enjoy a chilling night of fun and help Dr. Crankentein's scientists on a  crazy mission to save the world. There'll be live creepy crawly animal encounters, scary storytelling, Halloween games, pumpkin carving, a fire performer, fireworks display and fancy dress competition.
Tickets must be booked in advance.

Running at Banham Zoo throughout the half-term is Wilhemina Winklebottom Returns! Meet her slimy, scaly and spooky friends

Apple Day at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, near Dereham(10am-5pm) on Sunday. You can sample seasonal goodies from a selection of Norfolk producers whose pies, sausages,cakes,sweets and soups honour the apple.There will be wassailing, tree dressing, Green Man mask making and range of crafts people from all over Norfolk who will be demonstrating their skills.
