Creative Studio

Creative Studio is the place where you can use your creativity and to learn basic and new techniques. It is suitable for children aged 6-12 and of different levels-from beginners to advanced. The workshop is designed for up to 6 children. 

I’m Elena and I have been sewing for 19 years. It has been my greatest hobby and passion! I am a qualified dressmaker and soft furnishings designer. I now wish to pass this knowledge on and to introduce young children to the art of sewing.

Workshops will be conducted during half term and holidays at my house, in Surlingham. Each lesson we will complete one project.

Cost £12, includes all materials and a little snack interval.

You will learn:

• Using a pattern
• Sewing a button
• Blanket stitch
• Attaching your accessory to a clip and a band

We will also start a new project of a Needle case/ work holder, where we can keep our samples of different stitches and other work. This project will be spread over several workshops.

 Level: Intermediate

You will learn:

• How to use a  pattern
• Different stitching techniques
• Working with different materials
• Using sewing machine
